Get to know Kathrin ...

My name is Kathrin Pabinger and I joined the Zauner family as Legal Counsel in January 2022.

What are your tasks as Legal Counsel?

In my function as Legal Counsel, I and my two colleagues are responsible not only for reviewing and negotiating operational project contracts, but also for asserting and defending claims resulting from disruptions in the construction process. As “all-rounders”, however, we not only provide support in the area of contract and civil law, but are also available to our colleagues for questions in all other areas of law. Our tasks are therefore very diverse – which makes our consulting work particularly exciting.

What do you like most about your job?

It’s hard for me to answer this question, because there are so many things I particularly like about my job. First of all, I get to be part of a great, well-coordinated legal team that thrives on a lively exchange of ideas, but where there’s also plenty of laughter. I also like the fact that I’m constantly learning new things. The international and diverse orientation of our operational activities means that we have to deal with new areas of law and foreign legal systems on an ongoing basis. Moreover, the close cooperation with my colleagues enables me to acquire interdisciplinary knowledge. The exchange with our technicians, especially their patience in explaining things, is to thank for the advancement of my technical understanding. 😉

Why did you choose ZAUNER as your employer?

Because Zauner is a family business in which the values of sincere and respectful dealings with one another (both internally and externally) and equality are not just lip service, but are lived out every day.

For what reason would you recommend ZAUNER as an employer?

  • Zauner provides its employees with continuous training (completion of seminars, acquisition of technical literature and journals, access to databases).
  • Flexitime and home office allow a good balance between work, family and free time
  • Excellent working atmosphere and great cooperation at eye level with all colleagues.
  • Fun is not neglected, especially the company events are special highlights. 😉
