Ewald | Head of department

Portrait of a Zauner heroGeto to know Ewald ...

My name is Ewald Brandstetter. I have been working in project management at Zauner since 2007 and I am head of the “Industrial Pipe Construction & Environmental Technology” department at the Traiskirchen site since October 2022.
Something else in my private life: As a balance to my professional life, I ride my racing bike a lot. As soon as snow falls, you can find me either on alpine or touring skis in the mountains. My 3 children (14,16 and 19) make sure that I have a lively home and together we are always challenging the boss of the house.

Our questions to Ewald ...

Why did you choose ZAUNER as your employer?

In 2006 during my studies at the FH Wels I did an internship at our former location in St. Georgen an der Gusen. During these 6 months I got to know the extensive activities and a very diverse project landscape. In the end, however, it was the working atmosphere and the extremely short decision-making processes.

What do you like most about your job?

The varied activities, the opportunity to actively participate in projects and, especially with the new function, helping to shape the organization in Traiskirchen give me great pleasure. The affiliation with the Zaunergroup and the acceptance within the company round off the picture.

What opportunities does ZAUNER offer you as an employer?

In project management, timing and coordination are part of my job. Thus, after stressful times, there are always opportunities to improve the work-life balance. Home office and FlexiFriday complement this offer.

Why would you recommend ZAUNER as an employer?

Because we are a family business with short decision-making paths, opportunities for self-development and an intact working atmosphere. We will continue to need heroes in the future!

At ZAUNER all employees are heroes. What is your superpower?

Absolute identification with the Zaunergroup and the motivation to represent this to my colleagues and our customers every day. I don’t wear an S on my chest, but a Z!
